We, the American people, are being taken to task over the slavery issue. Did you that Canada, gentle Canada, abolished slavery only about twenty years before the US did, and that slavery was condoned by England, and France in their part of Canada. When it was abolished in 1833 there were still slaves, black and red. Bet you didn't know Canada had indian slaves. Aboriginies, as they called by the Canadians.

I'm not condoning slavery, for it is terrible thing to do to someone, but I am a little sick of being the world's whipping boy for our part in it.
